SEAYLP is involved with high school students and adult leaders from Southeast Asian nations and designed to provide high quality of leadership and citizen development. This program also seeks to nurture participant as the emerging generation of leaders who will actively pursue solutions to issues in communities and countries. In 2. 01. 2, Cambodia joined the Southeast Asia Youth Leadership program spring session with four other countries from Southeast Asia countries such as, Myanmar, Indonesia, Philippine and Thailand. The delegates to represent Cambodia were high school students and an adult leader from Kampong Chhnang province which selected by the US Embassy, Phnom Penh. To share what they learnt and observed from the United States, they decided to do one project to help community, specially the English Access Micro scholarship . The project called Young Volunteer Cambodia Exchange; they focused on spreading the awareness of Environmental Issues challenging Cambodia and Youth. This event brought all SEAYLP alumni from every corner of Southeast Asia to gather together as the first time. That was US- ASEAN Young Leaders Summit. The summit offered chances for SEAYLP alumni to get to know more about each other and knowledge about ASEAN community. Under the sponsor from US Embassy, the three generation of Cambodia worked together and created a project called My Community And I.
